Then he tried to push his way back in just because he felt guilty. Read on to figure out how I reacted to THAT little bit of something. Constructive Critisism very much welcomed! [bodytext] =>

You were never there
Not when I needed you.
Remember when I lost my first tooth?
No, becuase you didn't care.

All those years I was alone.
Remember when I learned to ride my bike?
Or when I first flew a kite?
No, because I was on my own.

Remember when I got my first Mustang?
I crashed it in the first 3 hours.
You remember how it began to shower?
No, because maybe you were ashamed.

Will you remember this day?
Remember when I leave home?
Off to collge I go.
No, because those memories don't go away.

You were never there.
You can't make up for 18 years.
You never saved me from those old past fears.
You can' t all of a sudden care.

Thats not the way it works.
I'm sorry, no.
Never again say hello.
For too much, Dad, it hurts. [comments] => 3 [counter] => 191 [topic] => 32 [informant] => Quilla [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 0 [ratings] => 0 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => SadPoetry )

This is such an emotional poem. It's very good. I'm sorry you had to go through something like that in your life. Thank you for sharing.

I really liked this poem, because it expressed my own thoughts, im not sure. I know how you feel, I grew up without a dad, and when i did have a father figure, he tried too hard, and i resented him for it, escpecially when now i don't need a father, not after so long of not having one. I really appreciate and understand the pains and anger and frustrations in this poem. My heart goes to you. Keep up the good work!
