Big, bold letters, grabbing the attention of strangers, people who couldn't care to know me.
They can't seem to keep their eyes off of the bloodied words, dripping with tainted, God forsaken blood.
Broken.
Damaged.
Fragile.
They struggle to avert their eyes, they try to pretend to not see the words.
Try their damndest to refrain from askin...
Why? Who? When? What the hell happened to you girl?
Can they look me in the eyes, look past this all?
Why is everything so obvious?
Why can't they settle and be content with a smile?
Constantly digging into the wound deeper, with their dirtied fingernails.
Infecting it with their need to analyze things,
have a label, category,
for everyone, everything, every awful experience.
So it continues, with each passing stranger,
trying to hide the questions in their tell-tale eyes,
while the words on my forehead burn deeper, and glow brighter.

I'm here to comment..just don't know exactly what to say except that Charlie Manson has his forhead marked too and people stare at him...but I think he likes it...
