Array ( [sid] => 76796 [catid] => 1 [aid] => mick [title] => Older Sister [time] => 2004-12-21 19:26:01 [hometext] => Please critique, I am planning on giving this to my Sister for Christmas. I want to give her the best, so any advice would help. [bodytext] => I have a wonderful sister
My very best friend
Though she is very far away
Miles and miles
Across the ocean and more
But even through the distance
I’m with her everyday

The wind echoes her voice
The sun’s rays are her touch
Her smile is in shown in the stars
The moon is her guidance in the dark
The ocean is her lullaby
Her tears are every drop of rain
The fire is her eyes
Every wilting flower mimics her pain
Her love is my guardian angel

We’ve had to put up with
Things only some can imagine
When stuff were said and done
Tears were cried
And feelings were hurt
But we helped each other through

Even though we are not together
I will keep her in my heart
So if she does the same
We will never be apart

And hopefully someday soon
We won’t be so far apart
I won’t have to look at some picture
I can see her for myself
My loving older sister

As a younger sister myself, i think its fantastic! I am a little paranoid cause we might not be together in the upcoming future, and i will greatly miss her. All i really can say is, yes send it to her! She will love it!

This is fantastic!! I am the eldest of 7 sisters and if one of them gave this to me..I'd be so honoured and touched....
I know she would love it..as is..

to be honest I cant find anything wrong with this poem, maybe the 2nd stanza is abit long, but still this is written well, I'm sure she will love it!
