Poll Also Finds Slight Majority Favoring Rumsfeld's Exit

21st December 2004

Most Americans now believe the war with Iraq was not worth fighting and more than half want to fire embattled Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld, the chief architect of that conflict, according to a Washington Post-ABC News poll.

The survey found that 56 percent of the country now believes that the cost of the conflict in Iraq outweighs the benefits, while 42 percent disagreed. It marked the first time since the war began that a clear majority of Americans have judged the war to have been a mistake.

O//O//

Now we can ALL see it
OUR LEADERS ARE LIARS
Filled with ambitions
And ugly desires

See where they took us
In the mess of Iraq
A mass of incompetence
In a coward’s attack

All lies and deceit
Right from the start
The wrong kind of leadership
All lies, no heart

Just knee-jerk liars
With puerile minds
Caused so many deaths
These people are blind

Now America at last
Starts to see
All these liars
Brought to their knee

Callous Rumsfeld
With a heart of ice
Idiot Bush
A hick with no class

And Cheney the goon
With light-bulb head
But his switch is off
In this braindead

See these fools
Who killed your sons
See the incompetence
No sense, just guns

The war on Iraq
No “cakewalk” was found
And no WMD
On Iraqi ground

A war based on deception
And the ugly Bush lies
As the whole world watches
And can’t help but despise [comments] => 2 [counter] => 172 [topic] => 41 [informant] => steeleyes [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 0 [ratings] => 0 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => political )
