Array ( [sid] => 76643 [catid] => 1 [aid] => mick [title] => Puppy Love [time] => 2004-12-20 18:38:00 [hometext] => A very simple poem I wrote just fun. Maybe it should be under children's poetry. Maybe you can read it just for fun [bodytext] => Everyone seems to love a puppy
So furry, cute and fluffy
Full of energy and wanting to play
Mood always seems so bright and gay

So wiggly, squirmy and forgiving are they
If you get angry the puppies love you anyway
How many barriers are broken down
When there is a puppy around

And if you're down and feeling blue
They're right there to slurp all over you
Not only will puppies lick the tears away
But they will whimper and cry if you don't stay

So uninhibited and outgoing they are
No fear of rejection so far
Attending adults can converse at ease
When there is a puppy there to squeeze

Now when he potties and makes a mess
We realize what responsibility came with saying yes
But a small price to pay
When the puppy loves you all the way

Besides who can stay mad
With those big brown eyes looking so sad
Puppies are so loyal and true
And will never cheat on you

Must be a reason puppies are called man's best friend
When noticing you are upset, they are quick to make amends
Your tone of voice is all puppies' need
To figure out if you are displeased

But the minute your voice softens
Pups are right there to joyfully lick real often
As demanding of attention they might be
Rascals are so angelic when they're asleep on your knee

Puppies can be there for your troubles
Ready to give you all those needed cuddles
They are great listeners as well
And won't dispute what you are trying to tell

Of all the functions a puppy can serve
I think the best is calming our nerves
That loving creature at our feet
Perhaps can help make our life more complete
