Your Refuge

I will be there when you need me
My shoulder always a refuge for you
You needn’t do anything
It’s what my heart delights to do

We have built this refuge together
In the perfect place
Along the banks of compassion
Its gentle currents of love and grace

There we’ll rest together
Let hearts have their say
Until peace overtakes you
Soothes your fears away

So come when you want to
Where hope is always freed
To the refuge always waiting
To help you with your need

Here you’ll find no judgment
No anger or control
Only a heart that’s happy
To share the burdens of your soul

I hope to be. It's hard sometimes. Sometimes the sorrow of seeing what people do to people takes over and rather than just accepting the hurt for them I tend to lash out once in a while. I have to learn to accept the hurt, take it in while not letting it do anything bad to me. The hardest lesson...

This was a beautiful poem.
