Sitting on the beach
Staring out at sea
The memories of you
Come flooding back to me

We used to go on midnight strolls

A very good write here Candice,
I sort of love and hate these memory feelings!
They remind us of both good times and also of just how kind of empty it feels to be not with this person!
You've managed to fit lots of feeling into this short write, well done.

Dean, I am glad that you like this one. It was my very first poem. Written in June of 1989. It was wriiten about my second crush. He and I were really good friends for like two years when he moved away. And I wrote my feelings down and that's how this poem happened.
