but broken sweaters dare not knock
do often forest powder flame
and blinking silent seldom numb

For we whose violets come with soap
as pumpkins dry without a nap
can never weigh this drunken coat
to spear a toadstool with a net

So cowards’ maintenance flies her near
while chair and starshine equal four
and vagrant Mongoloids all lean
where sailors sleep in empty cans

These words know not Beelzebub
but writhing lizards use no guns
and sample order in a barrel
to the mystic aria

There is no closure after sundown
violent foxes can’t come out

Majes no sense-
You must have thought about this for a time-
Read it yourself and maybe someday you to will have the potential to be a good poet...
You should reefrain from telling others that they do not write well...
I to am a published poet and have been writting for over 30 years but I do not try to disect other peoples work...
Joe

*LoL* I'm utterly confused and don't have the energy to try and twist some meaning into these words. I stopped reading it aloud after the second stanza coz I thought maybe that was why I wasn't getting it... I didn't enjoy this as much as your other stuff but it has that Butterat flair ;)

Way to go with hoist1atca by the way :P Actually I checked out your comment for Shadows Upon The Wall and thought it was wonderful (personally these days I stick to "nice job" etc). Keep up the objective but much-appreciated bluntness :)

Perhaps if my best reader is completely thrown off by a poem, then it's not doing it's job. Linguiphonic is meant to be read out loud because it is in the music that the words make where this poem's magic is hidden. The words themselves are meaningless and contextless, but it nonetheless shines by its demonstration of the elegance of the english language... Don't try to make sense out of it... Just say what you see on your screen and enjoy the pretty sounds your mouth makes... Nothing political, nothing attacking or inquiring about society, just peace and prettiness. That's this gift to you all.
