[hometext] => I wrote this poem five years ago.
[bodytext] => Through your eyes I watch, pained by the light; Though not nearly as blinding as what lay before me. Such madness, what brutes produce such a sight? Who are these men that so look up to thee? I cannot bear to watch the death and blight. Through your eyes I watch, that which desolates, Defeats 'till nothing. Then, one lone man I saw, Seething in rage for foe - at once - stopped, lost all hate. A boy lay before him, bloody - and raw. He stood momentarily, pondering, is it too late? Too late for peace, too late for love, too late to draw - Draw - a boundary to guide them, wipe clean their slate?
