an unfinished puzzle
the blackness envelops me
calling my name

Loneliness is not a new acquaintance
I have lost God and known it ever since
but God was never my friend
he watched, laughed as I fell

No one truly understands
they don’t know the truth
the truth that’s been my whole life
and the truth that lies ahead

A thing that you can never take away from me
the only thing I know
it’s what keeps me going
and why I lie awake at night

I don’t even understand
I only know that it was there
I watched as it came over me and passed me by
knowing without understanding is an amazing thing

Everything that is complicated
can be simplified in five words
the world will still turn
but will my truth be true to you?

interesting topic. especially since i just wrote a 4 page essay on it. to me truth is philosophical and perspective. truth is derived from facts, but is biased with opinions and perspective. truth is easily manipulated and can easily manipulate. facts on the other hand cant be. what people think to be true most of the time, doesnt even have facts to back it up. religion for example. many people say it is true, but they dont have the facts to prove it true with cross examinations or proof. so it cant be proven to be fact, it cant be proven to be true. but does that mean it doesnt exist?

good write. i liked how you wrote about truth. it wasnt completely straightforward, and left the vague parts to ponder.

This something, truth, which I to have tried to revolve my existence around. You have done a nice job of writng your thoughts on this, which by the way is not a subject, but an internal part of being and not simply ""words to live by" but what it is that you are. I have something I have written in the same vane so watch for it in one of my future posts. It is called "Forgiven"...............doug
