the earth between my skin
trapped the red stain within.
we touch
i speak softly, you press
gently against me
in answer
you are the earth between my skin
you are the face between my heart. and
my soul.

melancholically.

your nose teasing over my cheek
my lips brush
your upper lip,
then kiss.
we're still children enough
to feel self conscious
nothing is as pure as a childs shame
save white cotton
save the morning

will you wait with me in the morning mist?
take my hand for there is never...
the sun is only a few hours away
...a mirror when eyes are all you need
the son is only a few seconds away

earth to earth our fingertips speak
rustling like the wings of a cricket

ashes to ashes our heart bleeds
throw our dreams on the pyre of eternity

dust to dust our eyes whisper warmly
take a spade to dig our sanctity
and with a sweat-beaded forehead write
our lives in the earth with your hand [comments] => 3 [counter] => 174 [topic] => 22 [informant] => lapse [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 10 [ratings] => 2 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => LostLove )

Beautiful yet with so much sorrow, a very vivid picture you have painted with these words...mixed in tenderness and sadness...cool poem you have written and shared with us.

Peace to you
