Noone seems to frequent like they did,
Dead over air inside the speakerbox.
Traverse the wiring, find the switch,
Blast this life into atmosphere.
Breathing the resonance,
It becomes a transient station of hope.
The bass beat in the background
Breaks into a thousand pieces.
Reflecting rythm into an avalanche of emotion.
Pounding out the perscription,
A melancholy dose of melody and harmony.
The minors and sevenths dance in perfect disonance.
A dischordial invite to a perfect scene,
Chaos coming together, to fit.
This is life, this is music. [comments] => 7 [counter] => 321 [topic] => 21 [informant] => deadreckoning1983 [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 15 [ratings] => 3 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => Lifepoems )

"A dischordial invite to a perfect scene,
Chaos coming together, to fit.
This is life, this is music."

Now, that's an ending.

I also very much enjoyed the start. too - very original.

Keep writing.

This one drew me in ... !! I am a bit musically oriented ... though not as much as I wish I could be ... I really like the way you put this together Dean, uh Dane. (lol )

"Living inside this frequency,
Frequently finding the faults"

I listen to songs and frequently become inspired by inconsistancies or thoughts of ... Hmmm, I would have worded that differently.

"This is life, this is music."

Love that !!! Life is music, Nicely penned my friend.

Nazzy ~

Your title suggests anti-harmony, yet post viewing your piece, I have the impression that discord, is not about bad music, but about chaotic music.
I felt that you were describing the heavy or alternative genre of music, which happens to be my favourite.
“Living inside this frequency,”
I enjoyed the passive description and alternative choice of wording here, in regards to simply stating radio, or radio waves. “Frequently finding the faults” –is this due to static, or human error, perhaps even intentional flaws, like the screeching of guitars, missed drum beats, abrupt lyrics.
“Noone seems to frequent like they did” –does this denote a bands popularity, through the high occurrences of their songs, played on over the radio, or is this merely a play on words, suggesting their high calibre and or flaws, due to their “frequent faults”?
“Dead over air inside the speakerbox.”
Silence, conveys a-plenty!

“Traverse the wiring, find the switch”
I like that the sound is traced back to where it had been produced… this technique is rather effective.

“Blast this life into atmosphere.
Breathing the resonance,
It becomes a transient station of hope”
It was interesting to see that you had related to music as life, personifying it, to deceiving extremes, demonstrating the inhalation of its melody.
Placing your hope into something, so temperamental.

“The bass beat in the background
Breaks into a thousand pieces.
Reflecting rhythm into an avalanche of emotion.”
Such eloquence and lucid imagery, along with logical sequence, producing a nostalgic climax (for me personally, as I, too, have written of music) and an overwhelming emotional journey.

“Pounding out the prescription,
A melancholy dose of melody and harmony.”
You must have been listening to the deaftones, *lol*…
In all seriousness, you have figuratively described what I refer to as the medicinal metaphor.
Rather potent!

“The minors and sevenths dance in perfect dissonance.
A dischordial invites to a perfect scene,
Chaos coming together, to fit.
This is life, this is music”
You have scrutinised the music, which has emotionally overwhelmed you, so entirely, that I, myself am overwhelmed by this piece.
You are a very talented individual.
