Array ( [sid] => 7562 [catid] => 1 [aid] => Mick [title] => For Cindy-Louanne [time] => 2002-11-27 16:20:00 [hometext] => This was one of the first poems I wrote. It was one of those occasions when the words just seem to flow. It was natural, passionate, and cataclysmic just like my love for the woman who has reminded me just how wonderful life can be. Thanks, Cindy. [bodytext] => Cindy-Lou with the auburn hair,
With the dark blue carpet and the creaky stair,
And the broken drawer with the forks and knives,
Have we know each other in different lives?
If I thought your love for me would fade,
I’d give up drinking orangeade,
And climbing on my motor bike,
To the seaside I would take a hike
I’d crank the throttle very hard,
And ensure I’d got my donor’s card,
I’d race across the grass with haste,
And find the very highest place
Then gazing up into the sky
I’d see my life go flashing by
Tumbling over very slow
To land upon the rocks below
For you see my dear I could not bear
To suffer any more despair
And if I thought I’d hurt your pretty heart,
My life would be worthless from the start
So please believe me when I say
You’re the brightness in my day
And say you’ll love me for ever more
And that we’ll go together to heaven’s door.
