The Deceased

Contributed by DamentedSuicide on Sunday, 12th December 2004 @ 10:33:14 AM in AEST
Topic: psychoticpoems

The deceased lay at my feet
They reach out to touch me
With out ever moving
Their eyes stare at me
Wanting me to join them
I beg them to leave me be
But they dont hear my pleas
I admire them
The stiffness of their bodies
The blankness of their eyes
I ponder what it is to be like them
My fragile exsistance
Makes no sense to me
I rest my head next to them in the catacombs
I read their tombs
Children Men and Women
They are all dead
I wonder what they know
What the Knew
They who are the deceased lying at my feet

Very well written. I can relate to wondering what it would feel like to be one amoung the dead. It just makes you wonder. Liked this very much :)

Though I may not have wanted to be among the dead, I have been on the dark side of life. Very interesting poem ~ not my style at all, but I am open to poems that give me insight to the different minds. Very good write. Hope to see more.
