Never did it come to me that a dance
would lead to us, him and me, a chance.

As we held hands, slow danced, while the music flowed
I thought to myself, do I wanna let go?
But knowing I had to, he drew me closer
not letting lose til the song was over.

I never thought, it could happen to me
A sudden rush of mixed feelings, that made me happy.
Never did I ask for it, and never did it seem
to be a false illusion, a dream.

I felt a connetion between him and I
Dreaming about it all that night.
And, I never thought i'd awake
with a smile liek this one on my face.

I never thought that I'd feel this way
about some guy I met the other day.
Never did it come to me that a dance
