Slowly dying

Contributed by Apolla on Saturday, 11th December 2004 @ 06:05:31 PM in AEST
Topic: SadPoetry

Deep inside I know that I am slowy dying,

I try with all my might to keep myself from crying.

For if I shed one tear I know,

That my pain and suffering will only grow.

So I hide my pain in the shadows of my heart,

Never letting them show or take part.

It's all bottled up inside,

Like a tidal wave from which no one can hide.

The emotions that I never let show,

Shall only continue to grow and grow.

In my heart I know they shall one day consume me,

And I will no longer be able to flee.

But until that day I shall continue to hide,

This pain that continues to devour my insides.
