My Only Question Is Why

Contributed by unlovedchild on Saturday, 11th December 2004 @ 03:03:21 AM in AEST
Topic: oops

Laying down
I try to sleep
It is too hard with everything on my mind
No matter what I do
New problems keep interfering with my old ones
I'm starting to lose track
Of how many things happen to me
I try to think of something
Anything to take my mind off of this
But the stuff in my head won't go away
So I'm stuck wide awake
And am starting to cry
My only question is why
Why is my life the way that it is
Why can't I sleep and take my mind off of this
Why do I try to do anything at all
When I already know that I will fail
Why do I feel so helpless
This I do not know
But life is going way too slow

People forget God when everything is going well. God sends trouble our way to turn us to him, and to work patience in us, and to keep us from loving this sinful world.
Scripture proofs: Ps. 107:6 " and they cried to the Lord in their trouble, etc." Rom. 5:3 " tribulation worketh patience etc." Rom. 12:2 "be not conformed to this world, etc."
Ok, I'll shut up. God Bless

your writing is very heart felt and I too know what it feels like to ask that question and neve know if the answer you get is the right one, but never fear things will get better then they seem.
