And I wax for that wanton image.
I am the stroke,
A lethal hue of passion.
Tainting the purity of you with a color that doesn't exist.
It was said, " In this world, love has no color,
But how deeply my body is tainted by yours."
Could I ever leave my mark of passion;
On you, on literature?
I wish I was bold enough to say yes,
The truth is a far cry from such.
These pathetic poets who live fat and satisfied,
A comfortable life behind the pen.
We are the ones who live in the refuse of media and society,
We are the creators whose creations aren't recognized.
We write for the passion of pure creation.
To enhance, to destroy, to rage.
Falling in love with the muse,
Begging her to take us every night.
Hoping she knocks at the door for a glass of wine.
Inspiring the mind until fruition,
And the child of passion and creation is born. Sometimes you really
get me.
This one rocks.
One of those really good poems
that has your style in it,
it always seems so new.
You're gifted and deserve
great success.

Don't ever be like these clones
with their false modesty
and their bullshi7.
You rock,
I know it,
and you gotta know it,
otherwise you'd be recycling
the same old crap
everyone else does.
Don't ever hide your poetic ambitions.
Poetry needs Poets like you.

Inspiring! Brilliant!
Dane, I gotta hand it to you. You have such a gift for the unique.
One of the things I look for, (or perhaps, notice is a better word),
in the poetry I read is the ability of the writer to create a masterpiece
of pensive thought and structure that is totally lacking structure.
(If you catch my meaning)
How wonderfully you have done both!
It makes for such an original and meaningful write. I am astounded
as always.
Well done!

A masterpiece. Each line holds its weight. I feel like you are being cheated by my graveyard of poems...When I am uncovering 10 year old gems such as this, on your page.

Could I ever leave my mark of passion;
On you, on literature?

Ah, yes. The battle cry of every writer.

These pathetic poets who live fat and satisfied,
A comfortable life behind the pen.

Wow! That sounds like the life...Is that happening somewhere? I thought us lowly poets had to die first?

Excellent work. Keep 'em coming.
