I want death yet I never receive it
death never comes
I lay in my bed waiting for death but I still wake up in the morning
no matter how much I pray no matter how much I cry death still never seams to come and pass me bye
my spirit leaves me but my body stays behind and keeps going never stopping
why.. why cant I die
I have had a hard life is there more pain yet to suffer more to grieve
why..why cant I die
death is an easy way out as others say but some need the easy way some make it through the road some get lost
some just stay behind but they all end up going through pain death
why cant I die ....

people who have hard lives dont need to take the easy way out, they are being trained to take the hard way out.

what doesn't kill us makes us stronger. I can
relate to this poem as I too have wished and
prayed for death. All I can say is hang in there
life is hard, but not worth killing yourself over.
Keep on writing like this it's helped me and
I'm sure countless others.

im not going to lecture you on how 'bad' suicide is but it took me trying to comitt it to realize that the people around me cared it wasnt the people i thought would be there but i knew that it didnt matter who they were someone cared. But riteing about it helps me not to try it again, and i hope the same for you
By the way you are an excellent poet!!!

Perhaps death does not come because, completely apart from being the "easy" or "hard" way out, it is the wrong way out. Perhaps you are being kept from death so that you will live to find a better path?

I believe that God watches over us and guides us in life, through the hard times too. He wants us to become better, and to win through the hardship, but He wants us to do it by letting go of our pride and following His guidance. It's hard to hear the guidance of God, but if you really try, and really let go in humility, you can. I can, a little. And it helps immensely. God gives strength if we let Him know how weak we are. Do you think that something you could try?

Blessings.

Andrew
