What do you want to be?
What do you want to do with your life?
Before old age strips away your dignity
And the answer that I gave
Surprised all who heard
I was the only one who wasent surprised
At my one true desire
I wanna be a dad
Just a dad
I wanna go to all the baseball games
And dance recitals
And band concerts
I wanna love my kids more then life itself
I want them to know
That there is always somewhere to go
And they can always come home
I want to give them everything my dad didnt
Like attenion and love
I want to know that my life wasnt totally wasted
Cause I helped make them into the fantastic people
I know they will all be
And I know theyll be parents too
So my life wont be wasted
Because I did something great
Ill give a little piece of my heart away
And get all of theres in return
Thats all I want to be
