I felt like the world had crushed my lucky charms,
Felt like someone had ripped out my heart,
Ripped it out & tore it right apart.

I watched as your candle flickered then went out,
You had left me alone in the world no doubt,
I just held you & stroked your cold head,
I still couldn’t accept that you were dead.

I looked at your face it will so very pale,
Dead you may be but my love will never go stale,
I shall love you & one day we will meet again,
To be with you is the only thing that'll end my pain.

I cry, I sob but it doesn’t help me at all,
As from this world you have suffered a great fall,
You have gone, never again to return,
Never will I find another to ease my burn.

I will keep my heart for you & you alone,
Not with another will my heart ever call home,
I made a promise my love for you would never die,
I meant it & I will love you as I wait for my time to tick by. Very romantic, but a sad refrain as well. A good rhythm and rhyme. I get a lonely feeling when reading the poem, your feelings really come through.

Wonderful write

Romantic, sorrowful, and loneliness... Excellent combination. I know how this is, pixie. Hope you are recovering. Perfect write, pixie. Exquisite till the very end. Thanks so much for sharing. All my love. Pen on.
