Together, sitting side by side,
You’d look at me,
And kiss my forehead, as I cried.

Laughing and walking,
Happy as could be,
Those days were so remarkable,
Once so free.

On that fateful day,
We shared our first real kiss,
Snow all around us,
It was a true winter’s bliss.

I looked into your eyes so blue,
Wishing that it were only me and you,
Just then from in your pockets you placed your hand in mine,
Clenching your fist slightly, hiding your love behind.

You smiled at me, and told me not to worry.
I gave a smile as I closed my eyes,
You went behind me and place something around my neck,
So beautifully shimmering, and elegant.

You kissed my lips, for the taste once more,
The taste of our love,
Our love so true.

Happily we walked,
Together in hand,
Dancing and prancing
All across town.

When we reached my house,
We said or goodbyes,
Kissing each other tenderly,
Never wanting to lose grip.

That night by the phone is where I sat,
Alone and happy, our love was a great impact.
The phone rang, as I picked it up,
One the other end I heard a cry, stating they were sorry.

Sorry for what I began to ask,
Wondering what was so wrong.
Soon I found out…
Our love was gone.

A tear ran down my cheek,
As my friend told me what happened,
I was just a toy for you,
I was just a toy for lust.

I hung up the phone,
And ran into my room,
Sitting in a corner,
I looked at my wrist.

Fragile and weak is what I became,
Losing all trust in any man.
I grabbed a blade from my drawer,
As I took my life, and lived no more.

On the floor is where I lay,
Blood surrounding me,
Covering my scars,
I only wish that you could see.

I wish you could see what your lies did to me,
Breaking me in two,
Tearing up my heart,
Tearing up my mind, unable to think.

At your house,
Your phone began to ring,
Laying beside her,
You didn’t hear it sing.

Up the stairs your mother ran,
Running up, phone in hand.
She opened the door, to see you with her,
Handing you the phone, our love became a blur.

The phone was for you,
Stating my death,
The only think I was wearing,
Was the locket of our love lust.

good grief what a terribly sad poem. It started
out so sweet and wonderful then ended so
sadly. A wonderfully expressed poem though
it was beautifully written.
