[bodytext] => I loved a girl with long black hair Whose smile was wide and skin was fair. We met by chance in a time of innocence. And she became my highest importance. I gathered the courage to take her to a show, We went into a crowd where couples would go. It seemed like the rough sea, we wanted a shore. To rest comfortably, forever and more. We’d talk for hours into the early morn’ And when we were separated we’d feel forlorn. I waited for months to see her for weeks. When apart we could only speak. Her mother was lovely, her father was kind. I wanted us to be family it was clear in my mind. I slept in their house, I laid in her bed. And on my chest she’d rest her head. We’d wake to the noise of streets in Japan. And talk in a language they couldn’t understand. We kissed in the east we kissed in the west. Distance never seemed to be a test. I gave her earrings of sapphire and gold. A gesture I felt was heartfelt and bold. I secured my love or so I had thought. But it was false love that I had bought. And after awhile her voice turned silent. And her affection for me became distant. I pulled her towards me in heated panic. But she couldn’t respond, her feelings were static. It started so simple, but became far too complex. She was worried about today, I was worried about the next. Our conversations dwindled to minutes of hate. And she told me our marriage could never have a date. I swallowed my pride, I cursed and cried. But she was too far gone to stay by my side. Her love was taken to another country. And my heart was dumped, buried in the sea. A fool’s game I played, and now know defeat. Like a pawn in chess I was murdered by the queen. I’m forced to walk aimlessly now like a ghost. Horrified that I still love her the most. So if you see her, send her my love. Tell my bird that she will remain a dove. But don’t you wait for her reply. I know the response and it’ll kill me inside. Those days are long gone.
