Too much for my heart to contain
Agony left my heart shattered
In the world, nothing else mattered

Look inside me and you will find
Broken pieces I left behind
Lying in a cage that I built
To do away with all the guilt

Guilt of always ignoring you
Ignoring love I never knew
The guilt of treating you so bad
Losing the only love I had

Never even hugging you tight
Now I lie restless each cold night
Never gave the chance for a kiss
Now your lips are all that I miss

I never knew you were the one
I was too late and you were gone
I never thought we'd fall apart
I should have loved you from the start

Now I'm just a waterless well
Nothing more but an empty shell
For all the pain that I have caused
I've paid with this pain of love lost

And as these tears in my eyes burn
I'll always wait for your return
Waiting for you to hear my cry
I'll wait for you 'till the day I die

Bro, that was a way sick poem, in a good way though! Also I hope that you find the person who left you, cause I totally believe and feel the same way you do bud. But ya, go read a few of my others if you enjoyed The Mask. But I recomend that you read the following when I put them on : Sidewalks, and Torn. They express many feelings as such you have commented on for your own.
