Have you ever felt so exposed,
Deep down in your soul,

It causes you to reel?

When there isn’t a touch,
That’s gentle enough,
When even a bit of cherubim fluff,
Tears at you like a wire brush?

Have you ever felt so naked as to hide,
Yourself from every prying eye?
Feeling like the whore,
That everyone abhors,
And the only comfort,
That they offer,
Is when they want more.

I wonder if you’ve ever withdrew inside your shell,
And if you did would you ever tell?
Cause some things hurt just so much,
That they can’t be tended,
Not by the gentlest touch.

Have you ever felt so sensitive,
That even the most delicate touch,

Have you ever felt so exposed,
