The morning sun was begining to rise
Sipping coffee fighting off my sleepiness
Out my kitchen window I noticed How it was getting lighter
It was a nice suprise
The early morning darkness was giving away
A glorious purple scarf fit for a king
Strung across the sky
Red seamless garment flowed across the horize
A ribbon of pink floating with a touch of grey
My God I seen him today
Later on I was at the near by mall
Music softly playing in the background
I could hear Elvis sing How Great You Art
I noticed a man rather tall
He wore a crusifix around his neck
Stuffin a few greenbacks in a kettle
A thank you and a muffled bell
I seen Him today
A bent over lady her husband gentely holding her hand
Ever so slowly they shuffled along
A baby fussing in a stroller
In an instant a young mother held her
A kitchy-coo she began to play
I saw Him today
On the way home red and green lights all aglow
At a red stop a lame man waved a paper at me
Old news boys out helping for the season it be
Traffic was lined and moving slow
A picture of Him etched upon my mind
Home unloading packages from the car
Remembering a special program tonight
My son with C.P.was to be in a Christmas play
Like anyone he dreams of being a star
Again I saw Him today
My son a wiseman had a gift for the babe
With a big smile driving a power Wheelchair took his gift to the bab's craddle
All in all I had a wonderful day
You in Me I in you
All the wonders I've ever seen
I tell you true
Today I marvled
