The poison of you lips, the sting of your words
The pain stays and it won't go away
My silent screams go unheard

Sitting alone in the dark
Your face still reflected in my eyes
Once invisible tears make their presence known
For the unattainable object of my despise

The hurting is still with me
Mixed with my blood and pumped through my veins
God, please make it go away
Hear my pleading and take away my pain

It still hurts and God can't hear me
I feel so numb but the pain still sears
Make it stop, I can't take much more
Flawless wounds from your words still fill my ears

God isn't here anymore
Did he leave me here to die?
The burn is still here and continues to grow
I'm falling from the once felt high

I can still hear you
Forget you, I don't dare
Spiraling in torment in the never-ending dark
I'm still alone and you still don't care [comments] => 3 [counter] => 210 [topic] => 13 [informant] => UnfallenTears [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 5 [ratings] => 1 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => DarkPoetry )

i think we're forced to suffer and remember painful things as a way for our mind to help us avoid putting ourselves in the same situation again. once you have truly learned something from a painful experience i think you will be allowed to let go...until then...write a lot, eat a lot of ice cream...and take care of yourself.
