Utopia…?
Such rot!
For who among us
filthy as we are with our dirty passions…
intoxicated by the stench of our lusts
and marred by the telling scars of imperfect lives
is so qualified
even to be it’s lowly gatekeeper

And wherefore is the loss
By what foolhardy decree was it deemed such privilege
to live amidst their pristine society

Would we truly trade the robust laughter
the strong drink and tawdry wenches
for the clean robes, the soft music
and flawless beauty of the Utopians

Is it not we who mock their lives
and they who sneak away in the dark hours
shunning their perfect society
to secretly partake of our lustful vices

Better I think
to revel in our low passions
than to feign high virtue in the sunlight
but creep deceptively through the darkness
longing secretly
for that which we have publicly condemned

Let Utopia be damned I say
Better I think that we remain here
In our farms, our villages
and our seedy alleyways
Soiled with the sweat of our labors
dizzy with the wine of our leisure’s
and mad from the fever of our passions
Living fully and dying without regret
a bit more each day
from the noxious contagions of an unclean life

interesting concept. but my belief is that the world should just die, no reason for it to live, its only killing itself....
