from me to you yesterday,
sometimes this silly work,
gets in the way of play.

Though things are very busy,
And it’s a hectic time.
Know that you are with me,
in my heart and mind.

You know, I dread the day,
when from here I’m taken away,
and phone calls and cautious
meetings is the price we will pay.

But today I will think
about when we will meet.
My mind will be on
you, a vision, oh, so sweet.

Forgive me if I worry,
our love you’ll forsake.
Each day with you I treasure,
and a new memory I vow to make.

So, I’ll take each day that’s given
and hold them surely deep
knowing that our love,
within my soul will keep.

But know that I will struggle,
with emotions over you,
as my mind attempts to juggle,
two lives apart, but fused.

And every moment of every day,
that together we have shared,
will dwell for eternity
as two souls that love has paired.

And whether the wind blows us together,
or storms pull us apart,
your love forever and ever,
will rage throughout my heart.

I am sorry you had no poem
from me to you yesterday,
sometimes this silly work,
gets in the way of play.

aaww so very sweet, very deep as well.. i enjoyed reading your poem .. i really liked the last stanza as well.. your words flowed very nicely..

superb last stanza finishes off a very heartfelt poem. well done
