While I can lose myself in your eyes,
And our steps are taken silently,
Underneath a sky of fairy lights.
And our lips utter no words,
For a single word could break the spell,
That has decended upon us,
And enclosed us in its protective shell...

And the winds will serenade us,
Beneath the stars ethereal gleam,
As we dance in our own fairy grotto,
Inside our own private dream,
Where no words are needed,
For your eyes say all there is to say.
Underneath the moon up high,
And the real world shall fall away...

And in our ballroom of memories,
Where our memories are to be made,
We'll slowly dance the night away,
And there'll be no more reason to be afraid.
And as we dance upon our dancefloor,
Of concrete turned to glass,
Our feet will play a music,
So if this moment should ever pass,

I will remember those moments we danced...

And as we dance within the moonlight...
I wish the dream would never end,
I'm standing at the backdoor to heaven
And this is the best it is going to get...

No words are to be spoken,
While I can lose myself in your eyes,
And our steps are taken silently,

This is the kind of poem that takes the reader into in and swallows her whole, and she doesn't care because she never wants to leave. BRAVO, my friend. Very, very impressive.
Oh, one typo. I think you mean stars and not "starts," but this is fantastic!!!!!

this was a very impressive piece, phil. a piece that shows your skill and talent as a writer. many writers can only hope to be as good as this.
