I’d swear this is a dream God, how can this all be? It’s like a living nightmare In this Filtered Reality. Nothing as it seems Stunning silent cries A nation blind with fear Streaming from our eyes. Brave, amazing souls Rushed to save our kind Died with dignity Left loved ones behind. A country gripped with panic A shock to all who see Can’t make it all sink in In this Filtered Reality. Finally the smoke clears Our jaws are opened wide Stunned by deadly pictures But God is on our side. I’m numb, I can’t imagine What these monsters must be like To kill without a conscience We’ll be the next to strike. This time we stand together The world will watch it all They think that they have killed us But we know, they will fall. This day will be forever A day frozen in time The pain our country’s feeling No reason and no rhyme. Thank you to the people The rescuers, that we see We’re praying for your safety In this Filtered Reality. Our hearts go out to those lost In heaven you must be We’re praying from our hell In this Filtered Reality.
