Darken the light that comes from in my soul
His mission unto me he has not made known
Weakest times in my heart, fond and deeply true
Sailing against the wind, how I feel for you
Roaring oceans carrying flames into the tide
Lonely soul on the seas fails to recognize
Contemplating wickedness or righteousness on the bow
He cannot see what will not show, his only question, how?
Upon the horizon a ship gone ashore
Could it be, the wicked sea, will not carry him anymore
In his thoughts and in his mind, he sees the trials ahead
Right or wrong, left or right, his answer must be said
As his vessel closes in on waters not yet sailed
Just one question he asks himself, has his mission failed

I found this interestings and am surprised no other comments have been noted. The rhyme scheme is classic, of course. The theme of navigation is really nice and soothing. Blessings. |
