Pain is your friend
It lets you know you're alive
All do not understand
This fascination of pain
Sometimes it's hard to understand ourselves
Why do we hurt our bodies so?
I can only speak for myself
The reasons I do it
Many different ones although
Mad, angry, sad, depressed
Happy and all the rest
When I'm down I do it to feel ease
When I'm happy I do it to make sure
it's not a dream
If you see a counselor all they can say
Is "So how do you feel today?"
How do I feel today?
Pardon me sir, but if I say,
you'll lock me away

Pain is your friend

Pain is my friend as well like you said we all have differnt reason why we cut or selfinjury. I do it for release as you allready know. It soothes the soul. It's like the ultimate high. Your words are heard Your words are felt. May you know we together shall over come this and make it apart of our past. I Love you.

so many reasons to injure ourselves. Feeling something through pain is a way to assure we are still real. Very great write. I know what it is like.
