I just can’t take this any more,
I need out of this hell hole more and more.
My heart is torn and incredibly sore,
I think one of my last heartstrings tore.

I pray to my God, I pray more than ever,
My almighty carer,
I ask for your guidance in my life,
The temptation gets bigger for the knife.
I feel Satan’s grasp tightening,
My hold on reality is blurring.

Please God save me, I am one of your children,
I know in the past I have been a bad Christian,
I plead now for your forgiveness,
I finally want out of this blankness.
I wish to have meaning to my life, show me the way,
I feel without You I am only halfway.
Lord, show me the error of my sinful ways.
Now I have finished with that deluded craze.

He always takes us back and puts our feet on the solid ground of the right path. Over and over again He does it because He is the most patient and loving of parents.
I'll say a prayer for you. The road is never easy and almost always crooked, but that's what it takes to find the narrow way.

I thought this was very hopeful -- and a wonderful expression of the emotion we've felt returning to our faith in some dark hour. Trust in Him and He'll give you all the strength that you need.

Matthew 7:7-8 Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you: For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened.
