open your ears and listen
do you hear Him calling in the tides
awake this morning with His love inside

The ocean so deep, so wide,
His love is wider and deeper for us
He created the waters, the skys and the stars
He created us and more,

open your hearts to the sound of His voice
open your hearts He gives you a choice,
to take His hand in this dark world
to shine His light on the lost and the poor,

Open our hearts Lord,
help us to see,
your Hand in ours
because you make us free.

Beautiful!
It's a joy to read your poems.
You have a gift- expressing God's love so wonderfully...
God bless.

Amen. It is the sea and the stars that always overwhelm me the most when thinking of God's creation. I can imagine him stirring the tides to life with a word. Wow.

Sometimes religiousness really gets to me. Not in a good way though. People use it for so many rude and hate-filled things. This had none of that. This was sincere, it was genuine, and you had teh greatest of intentions while writing this, and it shows. There's so much out there that proves each and every day that there has to be something out there responsible for such a vast amount of beauty. This was a beautiful poem.
