Array ( [sid] => 72777 [catid] => 1 [aid] => mick [title] => American's Anger [time] => 2004-11-23 00:02:16 [hometext] => I WROTE THIS THE NIGHT OF 9/11/01 [bodytext] => I can't explain the feelings I have- Anger, sadness, hoplessness, hate...
Wonder, confusion, and fear-I'm irate.
"God Bless America" I sing, I stand behind "Let Freedom Ring"-
So much sadness, so much sorrow... I pray to God for a safer tomorrow.
To see "The Twins" fall to the ground...Such an isolate feeling- no one around.
Somewhere else in different places, it was all unfolding in similar cases.
What to do? What to say?
Why did this have to happen this way?
Time will pass, we will have to heal...What has happened to us is painfully real.
What about the heroes that payed with their lives?
Their husband's, their children, their parent's , their wives?
The thousand's of unknowing people that day...Lived that one thinking that all was ok.
I cannot forgive, and I cannot forget...
Beside fellow American's I have never met.
We raise our flags, we show our pride....
The American way, it has not died.
Remeber the day and where and how you felt..When you said your prayers and where you knelt.
Then stand up proud and stand up tall....
With Liberty and with Justice for All.
For-FDNY, NYPD, and the thousands of innocent people. GREAT TRIBUTE. WE will never forget that day. The day the world stood still. I thought it was a dream a nightmare but then saw the second plane hit. And knew things would and will never be the same. Execpt for the fact I am a american proud and standing true.
