with each time you promise to call, but don't, another tear will fall,
with each breath that i take, i will know my lover was only a fake,
now with each tear i cry, i remember yet another lie,
why are you so ashamed to admit how you feel,
what have i done so wrong for you to do this to me,
if you ever really loved me, holding me Now is where you would be,
if i ever meant anything to you, it would not have come to this,
me all alone wishing that you'd simply call,
but i guess i never meant much to you,
not now...not then...not ever.....
never meant anyting at all.... [comments] => 3 [counter] => 186 [topic] => 48 [informant] => brokenwings [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 0 [ratings] => 0 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => EmotionalPoetry )

How sad. I have been there! Take it from me, they aren't worth waiting by the phone... It will never change... Well, at least for me it didn't. Good write. Hope they wise up and call!

I can feel the sadness in your poem. Good poem. We have all been through this, it's hard and it hurts, but don't let this jerk bring you down. There are people out there WHO will Love you the way they should and not hurt you.
