After dark on Thursday

After a walk in the park on a rainy day

We went to the museum to stare through the telescope at the stars

Our constellations are really close to each other this time of year

We were really high up and looking down at the park

Tracing with our fingers the path we had taken only hours ago

It was cold and wet out so I held you in my arms to keep you warm

It started to rain but we did not care it was as if not one drop fell on us

We held each other and kissed till it started to thunder so we ran inside

I got a blanket from the closet of the museum and wrapped you in it

It was very cold so I went to the vending machine and got some warm coco for us

Then we sat by the large glass doors and watched the rain fall over everything

We must have been there for two hours or so when I looked at my watch it was already two am

Finally the rain stopped long enough for us to run back through the park to get to my car

When there I turned the heater on at low just to keep us warm enough

We talked for a while about astronomy and about our lives

We could have talked for hours but the trip to your house was only half

We got to your house and I was about to kiss you goodnight and you said

Why not kiss me good morning instead and spend the night with me

How could I resist an invitation from a girl like you? So you opened the door and we went in

We took off our shoes and slowly Tipp toed on the carpeted floor up the stair case to your room

We had to be so quiet not to wake you parents even though they did like us going out together it was still very late

We went into your room and locked the door behind us and the rest of that night will just be between us

But in all of its completion that was the greatest night of my whole life and was that only because I spent it with you

I felt like this a week or so ago with a guy,
He came and picked me up from a friends....we spent the night together...it was perfect...
but now nothing is perfect...we have barely spoken since the next afternoon.
This was a wonderful poem.

thanks for sharing....

Love
Stace xx
