Array ( [sid] => 72583 [catid] => 1 [aid] => mick [title] => The everlasting love of God [time] => 2004-11-21 18:30:50 [hometext] => God has done so much in my life. [bodytext] => The nails,
That pierced your hands,
A symbol of your mercy,
That you could,
Forgive someone like me.
The crown of thorns,
Upon your head,
A mockery,
To the king,
My king,
My lord,
My saviour,
You took it for me.
The garments,
That they took from you,
Another symbol,
Of your precious love,
That everything I need,
You will provide for me.
My God,
You give me all I need,
So much more than I could ever deserve.
When I cried out,
You were there for me,
You held me tight in your loving arms.
You care for me,
After all I have done.
My God,
It was I,
Who mocked you,
It was I,
Who nailed you to the cross,
My sin,
It held you there,
Much more than the nails.
You could have stopped it,
You could have said no,
All that was needed was your command.
Yet,
It was my sin,
That nailed you to the cross,
You knew that I needed your forgiveness.
My God,
Apart from you,
I am nothing,
Without your love,
I could not exist.
My God,
You have given me so much,
So much,
Which I did not deserve.
I could never repay,
The love,
That you have shown me.
My God,
I thank you,
For your unfailing love,
Thankyou,
For your joy,
Which has touched my life.
All I have to offer,
All that I can give,
My God,
I give to you my life,
I wish to live,
To glorify your name,
And to proclaim to the world,
Your everlasting love,
And show them,
The hope that I have found in you.

This made me take a really deep breath and then close my eyes. It's awesome what He has done for me, and you describe it with such feeling.
