A pit of deep despair and anger.
I look over the edge into the unknown depths
And stop.

I stand nearer to the edge
Peering into the dark depression
And the ground beneath my feet begins
To crumble.

Time stands still.
All around me my life, my soul
My reason to live
Fades away.

Time is evil
Time rules ruthlessly
Time gives nothing to anybody who asks for
A little help.

The earth under me crumbles
Falling into that evil pit
And I know that I will soon
Follow.

The Pit

I’m standing on the edge of a pit
A pit of deep despair and anger.
I look over the edge into the unknown depths
And stop.

I stand nearer to the edge
Peering into the dark depression
And the ground beneath my feet begins
To crumble.

Time stands still.
All around me my life, my soul
My reason to live
Fades away.

Time is evil
Time rules ruthlessly
Time gives nothing to anybody who asks for
A little help.
