One tiny drop of blood in ten miles of ocean
It is coming for you as fast as it can
Your heart turns ice cold, what is settling in is fear
Fear of it, fear of death, fear of the ocean, fear of fear
Something touches your leg; you jump back
It's here for you; it here to attack
Then you feel it, the horrible pain in your leg
Like fifty knives, shredding you leg
The water around you turns bright red
Now in your heart all you feel is dread
Looking down, a large gray shape is what you see
Silently you wonder what it could be
I know what it is; and I'll tell you
It comes from the fear that movies sell you
This fear is irrational; but some think it's true
It's irrational because what the movies sell is often untrue
I know this because, I know all about it
If knowledge is what you want, just ask for it
I'm going to tell you now what it is, this is no lark
All this irrational fear is because of a shark

I often wonder Candice,
Why nobody's made a terror film about Polar Bears, much more savage and they're cannibals!
This is an excellent write about the Great White, these enchanting creatures really don't deserve the bad rap they get!
But it's still a brilliantly frightening classic film though!
When do you plan on being a Marine Biologist by Candice? I must say that's a very worthwhile career, I wish I'd chosen something more helpful to the whole world like that!
Your writing here really has the hairs standing on the back of my neck, well done!

Dean, I am glad that you like this poem. I was up most of the night last night working on this one. And yes it is still a good classic horror movie. I am not too sure by when I plan to be a marine biologist, hopefully with in the next 10 years. Don't feel bad about not choosing a career that helps the whole world. I have been intrected in sharks since I was 18 months old, and by the time I was 4 years old I had chosen what I wanted to be when i grew up. But I have been more advanced than most people my age. It might have something to do with the fact that I was born a month late. You never know.I'm really glad that you like it.

I was also Born nearly a month late Candice,
The nurse told my Mum that if i'd been a day later I'd have died because I'd ate all my food in the womb!
Why they didn't enduce me out I don't know?

Dean, my mom's doctor had told her (a week before I was born) that if I wasn't born by the following Monday he was going to enduce, and I was born Sunday. At least now they only wait 2 weeks before they enduce.

When I said 'eaten' Candice, I didn't mean actually sitting in there with a knife and fork, what a thought!
I just noticed that sounded a bit odd, I should've said 'absorbed'!Hehehehe
I'm sure you knew what I meant though.
I was also facing down instead of up, and I've been bloody awkward ever since according to my Mum!hehe

Dean, Yes I knew what you meant. When I was born, I was in a very odd posistion, so odd that my mom would have broken my back if she had pushed, so she had to have an emergency C-Section so that I wasn't injured.

Dean, I have heard alot of guys say that. But even though there is pain involved I think that it is the most beautiful think that I will experence I will have, when I finally have a baby.
