De Vinci has nothing on you
When it comes to fabricating
Imagining the unbelievable
Leave me scratching in the dirt
I’ve been hurt by you before
Set down a peg or two
I’ve got my own set of rules
Tucked in my back pocket
Hunched under a streetlight halo
You said I was an angel
I tried not to explain it
You said it was a miracle
I walked away into the night
Leaving you there to sober up
Leaves swirl around my tangled feet as I
Stumbled down the path of least resistance
You’ve painted my portrait again
Staring me in the face

When it comes to fabricating
