[title] => A Writer and A Poet
[time] => 2004-11-18 18:55:53
[hometext] => When I had to do things the old way
[bodytext] => A mountain of crumpled paper, Overflowing in white bumpy streams, That have been shot to outer space. A half cup of cold coffee, One bite of a sandwich, Left on a pushed aside plate. A stack of various dictionaries And a condensed encyclopedia, To search for the word, "That's just right." Lifting a pen to paper, and draw a flower. Staring at the typewriter, as if it would help. A writer and a poet. Grabbing a full written page, But only two lines remain, Unscratched out. Searching for lost scribbled notes, Only to find them, When you don't need them anymore. Concentrating for days in peace and quiet, Then at your machine, The phone won't stop ringing. So you lean yourself back, And give life a giggle, For such is the inspired life... A writer and a poet.
