Array ( [sid] => 72127 [catid] => 1 [aid] => mick [title] => Frozen tears [time] => 2004-11-18 15:41:25 [hometext] => A poem of my innermost thoughts and feelings... although I always fail to show to the people around me. I keep them locked inside, I wouldn't want to bother anyone, not that anyone cares.. [bodytext] => I wake up every morning, an icy blanket of depression wrapped around me,
I fail to walk the streets with tears streaming down my eyes,
But I persist to keep my feelings securely padlocked inside,
My frozen tears I know I have to hide.

I step out of the door everyday, fake a look of enlightened happiness
Don't want to bother anyone, even though no one knows I exist,
Nobody knows the pain I feel within myself,
But all these frozen tears I know I have to keep locked inside.

An overflowing stream of bad memories stapled to my conscience,
A black hole of death enticing me each passing day,
Thoughts of suicide running through my head constantly,
But my frozen tears I insist I hold back.

Piercing eyes full of hate for me I feel each time I turn my back,
My emotions going crazy in my head and my heart,
Try to force happiness to come my way,
But my frozen tears always come back to haunt me.

Always planning new ways in my head to escape from everything,
No one knows, wouldn't even notice, if my life came to an end,
Scour around my house frantically for pills, when I feel at my worst
But my frozen tears tell me they don’t want to be put on show.

I feel so numb inside yet I can still feel the intense pain,
Mark my self - hate with the sharpest blade I can find,
Blood drips from the cuts, but the mental pain escapes comfortably,
But my frozen tears remain, kept all to myself.
