I lied to you.
Knowing how to break you.
Your weakness, hidden in plain view.
And the only way to ameliorate this anarchy is to
obliterate the dysphoria of heartache that still
lingers on.

My intimations of subservient behavior is adamant;

but now I can handle this floundering retaliation
callously.
Unperturbed by your useless defamations; which are
stained with corruption like the colored glass on
a church window.
I bled you of integrity.
Running on empty.
You're so unworthy.

And I'm deliberately obscuring the truth.
Lacking sophistication,
but with a certain flare of lip gloss and
polished nails,
I'll carve the moon away;
leaving you with nothing but the darkness.

Eventually, the empty promises and threads of
redemption I've spun, will come undone and clash
with the evening rain.
The pallor of this pink twilight.
Submerging memories of contradictions.
Granted reprieves from our disputations.

I've learned to cope with these shards of denial
pinned within my heart,
but I won't ever be able to fathom this disillusion
of fragmented sins placed upon your tortured soul.

Beauty casts her suicide,
and I lied to you. [comments] => 0 [counter] => 145 [topic] => 48 [informant] => avriljunkie [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 3 [ratings] => 1 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => EmotionalPoetry )

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
