Array ( [sid] => 71869 [catid] => 1 [aid] => mick [title] => I slipped and fell in (love) with you... [time] => 2004-11-16 21:34:38 [hometext] => I tried to save him, but ended up dieing with him. The song at the end reminds me of how we were. Not one of my best, but one that hurts the most... [bodytext] => I'm sorry for bringing you up from the darkest place
then dropping you down onto your beautiful face
I'm sorry for getting your hopes up so high
then making your heart want to crumble and die
I'm sorry for driving you down town every day
so you could get a fix, make the ache go away
I'm sorry for showing you a love you've never had
I'm sorry babe, I hurt you so bad

I hate myself for it every day
I just wanted to make your pain go away
But as I was trying to help you rise
and as I began to see hope in your eyes
I got hooked on the "problem" too
and I had to face the addiction with you .

So I left you there on your face
I left in the shadows of disgrace
I told you It was you to blame
but it was I who held my head in shame
I'm sorry Dave for leaving you there
I'm sorry, I tried to care
But heroin is loves defeat
and it had swept me off my feet
I found a love I never knew
and for my new love I sacrificed you

And we were "just two lost souls
swimming in a fish bowl"

"So, so you think you can tell Heaven from Hell, blue skies from pain.
Can you tell a green field from a cold steel rail? A smile from a veil?
Do you think you can tell?

And did they get you to trade your heroes for ghosts? Hot ashes for trees?
Hot air for a cool breeze? Cold comfort for change?
And did you exchange a walk on part in the war for a lead role in a cage?

How I wish, how I wish you were here.
We're just two lost souls swimming in a fish bowl, year after year,
Running over the same old ground. What have you found? The same old fears.
Wish you were here."
Pink Floyd

Dave I love you...

Ok I think I get this you wrote the first part and
Pink Floyd wrote the second part. Anyway I
loved this poem it was filled with so much
ache and hurt and just written with honesty
and straight from the heart. I loved it *goes to
read it again*
