I Sleep With Stealth Breath

I Sleep With Stealth Breath

In the second minute of midnight I am an hourly dreamer and dance in between dirty sheets. I am not alive, because I am living, and this morose madness is caught in the throats of those who horizontally open their veins to release an emotion. They do not know how emotionless they are. I take a charcoal path and set my footprints in an outline engraved with blood. People cannot walk my path thoroughly because their footprints disappear as mine are scarred. It is for everytime I've died, and spoke, and severed, and cried. Call this tell-tale grove because I manipulate and hide and write my words as an intellect would in straight lines. Can you wake in the sober dawn of a tuesday morning and wish that you weren't dreading his back facing you fully clothed and miserable? I cannot think of a love who may screen themselves incompletely... because they have sex, and scream so inappropreiately. He talks with a disconnected stare and breathes as if he's lacking the lungs to consume air. And he's abliterant. And I'm a cold girl. It is now that we realize that this one bottle of liquor isn't going to last us the winter...

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
