I am waiting for someone to walk through the door,
But no-one ever does, so alone I dance,
To be happy I’m not even given that chance.

There’s nobody here to admire my dress,
Its seems only the shadows I’m trying to impress,
The music is only present inside my head,
To the rest of the world the tone is dead.

My feet are sore, but dance forever I will,
While there’s blood in my veins I can’t sit still,
I want everyone to know that I am alive,
But my soul just feels like it’s somehow died.

All I do is just spin around & around,
Feel so very exhausted then hit the ground,
Then I get back up & start dancing again,
If I stop then I’ll feel the never ending pain.

Moving about keeps my minds cogs turning,
I don’t want to stop because I’ll feel the burning,
So here I am alone in the secluded ballroom,
The only company I have is my doom & gloom.

Dance all night long, the words and the music will be your music, your partner and your lover.

Very intense write so moving so sad. Well written. Your words are a dance for everyone to see. So now you are no longer dancing alone. We all are dancing with you this day.

This is one of your best writes Pixie. I'm pretty sure we've all had times when we've felt the way you have written about. This is so easy to relate to. I'm sure it will ring true in the hearts of many readers.

Well done once again.

Luv,

Pander

The fiddle plays..keep on dancing. If you stop..you'll freeze. I don't know why but this reminds me of that game..musical chairs..do you remember?
