I am the music.

My body sways onto the floor,
the ocean of bailadores part at my crossing.
droplets of pride follow in my wake.
Like ripples she follows me: elgant, smooth.
If there are eyes open, they are focused on me.
If there is air breathed, that breathe is in glory of me.

I am soveriegn of my little circle,
Lord of this small area admist the chaos.
I only rule here... and she my loyal subject.

My hands barely feel the fabric,
like a knife, I spread my pride over her body.
Beneath my touch, she is but a pawn.
Beneath my stare, she is but the canvas of my masterpiece.

And she swoons and dips,
as branches in the wind.
And her hands rejoice as they touch my body.
I am a god, and she obeys my every will.

I care not who I was before now,
I care not who I was before we met.
I care only for that beat, and that music...
Our music.
I care only that she accepts who... is King.

Great poem. I live in a neighborhood that has a lot of Mexican people in it. I have been invited to several parties of theirs and your poem describes exactly how it can be! Bonita!
