Pain, tears, anguish, and hate.

Contributed by Rage on Thursday, 21st November 2002 @ 12:40:00 PM in AEST
Topic: oops

~*~

Pain, tears, anguish and hate.
Brilliant color of darkness for my soul to decorate.
Vengeance swallowed and suppressed, perhaps by fear.
I try to block out the shouts of the past throughout my years.

A dream that shed the truth within my black heart.
Words I spilled that tore and ripped you apart.
Tears slipped from my enraged eyes as you crumbled to your knees.
Fists clenched and yet all unleashed as the daggers of my torment increased.

"I hate you, Mama!!!" were the words that rang in the air.
A great blow to you, but I still didn't care.
For the broken promises and your selfish ways.
For the gifts of empty hopes, I hate you for all my days.

You made me choose all because you are weak!
Because of my decision, Daddy left after the kiss upon my cheek,
The start of my childhood downfall that I live to regret.
I hate you so much, Mama… And yet…

Pain, tears, sorrow, and… love.
A sense of obligation that out of my heart, I've tried to shove.
I've been by your side ever since our world fell apart.
And now that I'm not… I'm sorry that I've broken your heart…

~*~

I need to get a user name sometime... anywho, this was truly a good write, Grace. I'm somewhat speechless, though, considering what it's about. It's not really any of my business, though, so I won't inject any opinions, but I do hope things can get easier to handle for you. Take care, old friend.

Dearest Grace...

I love you. I hope that you know I am here for you when you need someone to lean on.

I can't pretend to know what you're talking about in this poem, I can only say that I imagine my feelings for my father must be something like it.

Beautiful poem.
